Divers Alert Network (DAN) Instructor Training

Steps to become a DAN Instructor

Step 1

Be a DAN member.

Step 2

Be an active status scuba diving leader with your training agency. (dive master, dive controller, dive instructor)

Step 3

Complete the Core Module online at DAN.org. (http://www.diversalertnetwork.org/training/courses/online/intro.asp?course=1)

 

Select “Begin the Core Module Online” at the bottom of the page. Proceed through the module, reading the directions and answering the questions. You may Save and Exit at any time. To return to where you left off, simply follow the link and then select the Login Button on the entrance screen.

At the initial sign in you will be asked to include your DAN Instructor Trainer's email address. Please type in my email address, which is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.and I will be notified when you first log in and then again after you complete the online examination.

Step 4

Participate in an Instructor Qualification Course (IQC) with a DAN Instructor Trainer.

Step 5

Start teaching when you receive confirmation from DAN.
