Exploration, Excitement, Experiences. They're what the Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don't have to be “advanced” to take it – it's designed so you can go straight into it after the NAUI Basic Level Scuba Certification NES-VA010.

The NAUI Advanced Level Scuba Certification course consists of the Following.

1. The Advanced Open Water Diver course:
This course will help you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your Instructor. This course builds on what you've learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

2. Underwater Digital Imaging Diver:
In the NAUI Underwater Photographer course you will be taught the skills, techniques, and tricks of underwater photography including lighting, use of photographic equipment, the fundamentals of photography, underwater camera techniques, and underwater photo problems.

3. Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries course:
Administering emergency oxygen is the preferred first aid for scuba diving injuries, and early administration can drastically improve the outcome for an injured diver. The Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries course teaches you how to administer life-saving oxygen first aid to divers who may be suffering from decompression illness (DCI). Additionally, this course will teach you how to recognize the signs and symptoms of decompression illness and respond to them accordingly. The emergency response skills taught in this course are not unique to scuba diving; they’re applicable to many other watersports and other activities.

Prerequisites
To take this course: Divers must be a minimum of 10 years of age, in good health and must be previously certified as a NAUI Scuba Diver or equivalent.

Equipment:
Students must own or purchase a scuba-grade mask, snorkel, fins, and botties.  You use all the basic scuba gear including your underwater compass. Depending on which three adventure dives you pick, you may also be introduced to underwater photography equipment, a dive light, lift bags, a dive flag/float or other specialty gear.

You will need to rent all other required scuba equipment including wetsuit, buoyancy compensator device (BCD), weights, tanks, regulator and computer.
